Frequently asked questions

How do I price handmade products?

Add batch materials, packing supplies and your time at a target hourly rate, divide by units, then adjust for platform fees and profit. Pricing from materials alone is why most makers underpay themselves.

How much should I add for platform fees?

Divide your cost per unit by one minus the fee percentage. At about 9.5% in fees, a $10 cost needs about $11.05 before profit. The calculator applies this automatically.

Why is my craft fair booth losing money?

Because booth fees, gas, setup and teardown hours are real costs. Enter the whole weekend — units, costs and total hours — and the calculator shows what the fair actually paid per hour.
